I live and work in Seattle, WA. Much of my art focuses on the impact of travel and the importance place and history play in our ideas, views and memories. I spent two years in Kazakhstan working in the US Peace Corps, an experience often reflected in my art. I sometimes use humor and irony of the mundane, and sometimes not so mundane, in my art to reflect on the world. My work tends to have an illustrative quality, and I work primarily in water color and sumi ink.
